Description

In view of convocation of the 6-th International Symposium in Yerevan in 1977 dedicated to the culture and apoplexy of apricots the management of the Scientific-research Institute of Vine-grcwing, Wine-making and Fruit-growing deemed it necessary to supply the participants of the Symposium with both Russian and English versions of the handbook consisting of a chapter from the First Volume of Fruits of Armenia“ (1958) dealing with local sorts of apricots in the form of a separate atlas.
In the atlas , Apricots of Armenia” that is being published the morpho-biological description of 29 local sorts and forms is given without alterations (author : Dilanian G. Kc.). The general part is supplied with the data on the origin of apricot cultural sorts and on the problems of apricot distribution over the regions of the Republic.

Bсвязи с созывом в 1977 году в г: Ереване VI Международного Симпозиума, посвященного культуре и апоплексни абрикоса, дирекция Армянского НИИ виноградарства, виноделия и плодоводства нашла необходимым переиздать для участников Симпозиума, в качестве пособия на русском и английском языках, из первого тома «Плоды Армении» (1958) главу, посвященную местным сортам абрикоса в виде отдельного атласа.
В издаваемом атласе – «Абрикосы Армении» морфо-биологическая характеристика 29 местных сортов и форм приводится без изменений (автор Диланян Г. Х.), а 4 новых сортов дана в описании авторов (Санагян М. Б., Бекетовский А. Н.). Общая часть пополнена новыми данными по вопросам возникновения очагов культурных сортов абрикоса, а также распространения абрикоса по районам республики.
